This is one of the best projects that I worked on. Mainly because of all the chocolate pictures that I dealt with. But also because I used a lot of custom PHP and Wordpress to build it. This site has products and recipes, and to build those, I used Custom Post types, with custom taxonomy. The products have filters and zoom functionality, and the recipes are presented in a beautiful way. Everything is easy and friendly for the client to edit in the backend.
This website is bilingual, and it has a lot of reusable code, and contact forms. It also has a secure "Client Zone", where only users with login info can access and view details about the products and their availability.

Inova is an Insurance Brokers company. They wanted a project where users can request an auto insurance quote online, and get results right away.
I built this project using PHP and sessions. The user can enter a valid Ontario driving licence, and an email address, and within seconds they will receive 3 quotes for their auto insurance. Once that is displayed, the next step is to get the consent of the user to save their email address, which I then submit to 2 different web services.
The form fields are validated, and the driving license field is restricted to only allow valid Ontario driving licences.

This website was built using WordPress. And it uses the rich responsive features of the Foundation framework. It relies heavily on the custom database fields that I used to hold all the data for all the formations. You can filter the formations by territory/sector/type/keywords.
To make things easier for the client to maintain, things like "formations", "sectors", and "locations" were incorporated into the left hand menu of WordPress.
The website also has a contact form, and it uses SlickJS to display carousels of images, testimonials and Youtube videos.

The Football website of SJE was built with WordPress. It uses the Foundation framework responsive grid and classes, and it also uses SlickJS to display a carousel on the homepage. The website uses custom database fields to save and display info about the teams, the players, and the trainers.
You can search for news and pages using the search functionality. And I developed code that would filter and reuse the profiles of those players on multiple teams. Older teams can be archived and it would automatically appear in other "archived" places. The filtering was done by combining PHP and JS.

Aime-toi is a site that is addressed to the youth and it answers their questions about sexuality and to provide food for thought. It also provides a map that tells them where they can find condoms and get tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the Outaouais.
This website was a big challenge due to the requirements of the design. I built it on WordPress, and it used a lot of custom database fields. The website has 22 sections on one page, all driving from different sources. The design required that the curves be shown surrounding each section, which was the real challenge when dealing with the responsiveness.
The website also has downloads, youtube videos, and a contact form. As well as an interactive map that filters and shows where people can buy condoms and get tested.
ASDR Industries is a growing international company; it has a strong reputation in the mining and forestry industries and has offices in Canada, Mexico and Africa.
This WordPress website was built, but the client wanted some work done on the content and contact form. They also wanted to create an interactive form for their surveys. I created that form using custom Database fields. Users would come to a login page, create an account with the ability to control and delete their account.
The form would then give them a set of questions that they needed to answer, we calculate their score afterwards, and save everything to the database. Users also have the ability to retake the survey and improve their scores.

Hit The Ice is a multiplatform project which consists of a television show and a website which will see the top twenty Aboriginal players, aged 15 to 18 years old, experience the rigors of a professional training camp. Throughout the camp, these prospects will be put to the test and they will gain valuable experience as they get ready for their on ice audition in front of many junior scouts from Canada and the United States.

This is the future app of the Al Shaqab Horse Racing team.
Initially I joined this project to customize it for iPad and as a standalone web app, but ended up doing a lot of work on the whole project. This app pulls data from the major social media networks, and aggregates them into one feed, it also collects the news from all around the world concerning the horses of the Al Shaqab Racing Team.
I developed the chat system that is used in it, with its support for uploading media. It has a horses listing, a list oc clinics, and push notifications.
Al Shaqab stands as an enduring tribute to the Arabian horse and the tradition of equestrian excellence that has co-evolved with this breed in Qatar.
I built this multiplatform application to reflect the needs of this organization. The app uses extensively the webservices for the horses, their galleries, news and events. It also has Geotracking option to show the different venues, as well as pedigrees.
QatarDebate is the national debating organization for Qatar. Their aim is to shape the global citizens of today and the intellectual leaders of tomorrow in Qatar and the region.
This was my first hybrid app using Ionic and AngularJS. The app uses different webservices to display the content from their website. It incorporates Google Maps with styling layers, and has carousels that display their galleries, as well as news and events, publications. Their Championship event is showcased also in the app in a slick and beautiful way. It also has a timer. The app is bilingual, English and Arabic.

This was a pretty complex website. Built using the FuegoCMS and its wonderful database capabilities. The website uses the Foundation framework, so it is fully responsive, and it features a mega menu hybrid of links and callouts queried from the database. The website also features an Innovation catalogue, where the projects are filtered and displayed in an easy way. And an interactive map of the world.
I am also using the Flickr API to retrieve the images and display them on the website. There is also a video section that displays all the videos on their YouTube channel, and the website is bilingual, English and Arabic.

The Qatar Architecture Award is an initiative by the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Hamad bin Khalifa University, to establish a platform dedicated to excellence in the practice of architecture, heritage preservation and urban renewal in the State of Qatar.
This was a prototype project for the QAA. The concept was that they wanted a system for an event where the contestants would apply, and present their projects, and another system for the judges to review and rate those applications. A lot of jQuery work was done in combination with lots of Database querying.
Tamm is an organization co-founded by Silatech, Social Development Center, Reach out to Asia, Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities, and designed to connect volunteers with those who need them.
I helped in this project by creating forms, testing and troubleshooting. As well as some styling.
SCH has an ambitious program to enhance the wellness of the people of Qatar so that a vibrant, healthy, and productive society can be established for today and for the future. The essence of that program is ’Caring for the Future’.
This is the website of a high profile client in Qatar. They wanted a modern and accessible website. So this is what I provided. This website is level AA WCAG compliant, and at the time of launch it was the first and most accessible website in Qatar, but now it is among the top 10, after the client started loading their own content. Qatar has an Accessibility Monitoring Tool.
The website is fully responsive, and accessible. It has a hybrid mega menu, carousels, publications sorted in an accordion, and lots of forms.
Some accessibility scores can be seen in the thumbnails to the right.
Fuego is a leading web design and development company based in Qatar. They create websites, intranets, portals, mobile apps, digital signage and custom application software.
One of my pride projects. I created this website for my company, it is basically a parallax site, where I use the FuegoCMS to display some of the projects of our company. It had a video background, and a huge interactive map on the contact us page.
Through small little tweaks this website is rated as 100% the most accessible website in Qatar, according to the Accessibility monitor.
The aim of the NHS is to provide a practical, implementable strategy to be used by the health sector as a means for reform and improvement toward reaching the ultimate goal of a healthy population. The NHS is one of 14 sector strategies integrated into Qatar’s National Development Strategy.
I created this website from scratch, it contains carousels, virtual tables, filtering, and brand guidelines that uses the bootstrap framework. There is a section where each of the strategies has its own sections, and data is retrieved and displayed depending on the goal.
The website also has News, Events, and Publications, as well as Images and Videos Galleries.
QF Radio broadcasts news from QF to the rest of Qatar and the region and works to explain to listeners exactly what is happening within Education City and the other centers to the wider-world.
This was a big project and a challenging one. This radio station is in reality 2 radio stations, one in English, and the other in Arabic. I built this website with an adaptive design that reflects the branding of the organization.
The splash page refreshed periodically and loads a new image every time. There is an audio player for each of the languages that plays the radio stream.
It has a smooth calendar of events, and an image gallery that opens in a lightbox. And I retrieve their videos from their YouTube channel using JSON. News, events, and Instagram items are displayed on the website as well.
DCEF is a forum that features around 100 regional and Qatari experts and 40 international experts. It is a premier platform for carbon dioxide emissions, carbon abatement solutions, alternative energy, energy efficiency, and new technology in Qatar.
This website is a one page parallax project, where all the sections are displayed in one page, with the ability to have child pages. I created this website with the Rock Hammer framework, and it features a video carousel, and an agenda.

This microsite is actually a quadrilingual small website to display some information about the partnership between QF and the FC Barcelona, it is fully responsive, and used the FuegoCMS to retrieve and display data from the virtual tables.
CHI AlShaqab is an annual event in Qatar, organized by Al Shaqab and QF. It spreads over four days of Jumping, Dressage, Para-Dressage and Endurance; where national and international horses and riders will take their chance for an event of a lifetime.
I assisted in this website by fixing some bugs that were found, and by building the Video Gallery that retrieves and display the videos of their YouTube channel.
QELA is a luxurious fashion boutique in Qatar.
I assisted with this website by working on individual components requested by this project. For example I implemented the inside carousels, and some designs sliders that were done with jQuery.
The Academic Bridge Program (ABP), is a premier pre-university program established for high school graduates from Qatar and other countries in the region.
My task on this website was to create the complex carousel on the homepage, as well as fix a couple of small bugs. The carousel is different in that with each slide, 2 areas of the page are changing, the horizontal image and text below the menu, and the vertical spotlight area too. Both of them change automatically and using the controls.
This project is an event hosted by Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), and was held at Qatar National Convention Center, Doha, Qatar.

I did a lot of backend work with the FuegoCMS, this site relies heavily on several components that were built in-house. Each article is tagged and sorted through Content Modules, and we used a lot of virtual tables as well.
Qatar Academy Al Wakra (QAW) is coeducational up till grade 5, segregated grade 6 and up, bilingual, serving the community of Al Wakra and surrounding areas.
This project required that I use the FuegoCMS to display the content of QAW. I built the design, and stored some of the callouts in virtual tables. I also query the backend to retrieve and display the news and events into a calendar of events. A carousel is also displayed on the homepage.
Qatar Academy Al Wakra (QAW) is coeducational up till grade 5, segregated grade 6 and up, bilingual, serving the community of Al Wakra and surrounding areas.
I used jQuery Mobile to create a mobile version of the QAW website.
SILA is a regional initiative that launched from Qatar aiming to match investors with entrepreneurs.
I took over this project because it had a very tight deadline. I was able to deliver it on time with the help of my team members. The website had a carousel on the homepage with a countdown timer to the launch event. I pulled the news and the events, and had a calendar of events. The website also had videos, and a streaming page for the live launch ceremony.
The Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) leads the reform and renewal of contemporary Islamic legal and ethical thought and behavior by contributing a sustainable ethical framework for addressing contemporary global challenges.
The second design of CILE was a bit more challenging, the requirements asked for carousels, calendar of events, news, and events. There was an event streaming, and a registration form, as well as a media center that contained image and video galleries. I also created a mix of jQuery and relational databases to load and display their research papers in a nice and presentable way.

This was the biggest client I ever had in my life so far. Their website was built using the FuegoCMS, and virtual tables. The homepage design required vertical sliding carousels, a tabbed area where the news and events will be displayed, another horizontal scrolling news ticket with images and text, and several other callouts.
Their inside pages contained side menus and events calendar. As well as news and events with an option to filter those items.
Regency Halls is a professional event management, elegantly designed venues, creative cuisine and impeccable service create the ideal conditions for all event types from corporate meetings or banquets to weddings and gala dinners thus making Regency Halls the ultimate choice for Doha’s elite.
This website was built and finalized in 4 days from design to release. The client provided me with the materials and instructions, and I used jQuery to have those smooth sliding effects. The website has a gallery and contact page, aside from the regular pages. This website is bilingual, English and Arabic, and it is all tracked by Google Analytics.
Qatar National Library (QNL) is a non-profit organization under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF). QNL is supporting Qatar in its journey from carbon-based economy to knowledge-based economy by providing resources to students, researchers, and the community in Qatar.
Creating this website was a bit challenging due to the nature of the required hybrid mega menu, and the website structure. It has a micro-site for the (Arab and Islamic Heritage Collection) that displays a different design.
The website has a vertical sliding carousel, and it pulls news from the CMS to display them on the homepage, and in the different pages of the website.
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), formerly known as Doha International Institute for Family Studies and Development (DIIFSD), was established by Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development in 2006. The Institute has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNECOSOC).
When DIFI was still DIIFSD, I helped build a website for it, but I don't have the design, or any more screenhots for it, except the homepage
Al Shaqab stands as an enduring tribute to the Arabian horse and the tradition of equestrian excellence that has co-evolved with this breed in Qatar. The range of equine disciplines and programs that Al Shaqab promotes ensures that the cultural legacy and appreciation of the Arabian breed are lovingly handed down in Qatar from generation to generation.
My role in this project was to support the main developer. I worked mainly on debugging, and on creating specific tasks and pages. I also created banners in Photoshop and implemented them in HTML.
Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI) is a National Research Institute established by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, a private, non-profit organization that is supporting Qatar on its journey from carbon economy to knowledge economy.
My role in this project was to support the main developer in their work. I created individual chunks of this website, mainly the task that each research paper needed to be presented in a page, with a working set of videos, and an image gallery of the event where that paper was presented.

Qatar Solar Technologies (QSTec) is about enabling solar power by producing quality polysilicon for the ever expanding international solar energy markets. QSTec provides the building blocks of photovoltaic power that help reduce green house emissions and protect the environment for future generations.
I assisted in this website by fixing the bugs that were caught in the QA testing. I also implemented the video gallery/lightbox. This website was different than the rest of the designs at that time, in the fact that the main menu was a left sliding vertical menu.
The Social Development Center (SDC) is a non-profit, social and development organization established in 1996 under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
I created the homepage as HTML and passed the project to another colleague to import it into the FuegoCMS. I later worked on the project by fixing a couple of bugs in the menu, and I created the image gallery, and worked on general maintenance/debugging issues.
QF Radio broadcasts news from QF to the rest of Qatar and the region and works to explain to listeners exactly what is happening within Education City and the other centers to the wider-world.
This website was very special in terms of design and importance. The design dictated that each of the main pages is full screen, and in a different color/background. The transition between each of the pages was to have a sliding effect. And there was a streaming link at the top to play and pause the live radio streaming of the station. The website had news and events, and image/video galleries.
The Reyada Award, launched by the Social Development Center (SDC) is the leading entrepreneurship program in Qatar, designed to celebrate the Qatari Entrepreneur and the supporters of entrepreneurship through recognition and rewards.
My role in this project was to create 3 huge application forms that interacted with the user selections.
The Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies was established to achieve intellectual plurality that emphasizes the richness and diversity of the Islamic heritage under the umbrella of Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
This website was built using the FuegoCMS, and it features a carousel on the homepage, and callouts at the bottom that slide up when you hover over them. I also created 2 complex accordion style lists driven from the databases.

The "International Conference on Islamic Economics and Finance" is a conference held in Qatar every year to discuss new methodologies, frameworks, and datasets need to be explored to help inform policy. Sponsored by QFIS and HBK University.
I built this website using the FuegoCMS, the most complicated part of it was to create an interactive Agenda. Where the content was loaded inside our databases using the Virtual Tables component, and then using the jQuery UI and jQuery, I was able to query the data and sort it in a tabbed view and in an accordion style.

This was my first project with Fuego Digital Media, and I took over it from a colleague. We basically received this flash website, and we were asked to build it in HTML. So we build it locally and then we imported it into our proprietary CMS (FuegoCMS). The website had cool effects transitioning between the pages, and it had a hybrid menu that changes depending on which page you are on.
There was image galleries, videos, and live music playing with the ability to mute it. We also had custom built scrolling area to scroll the content, and the website was bilingual, English and Arabic. It was advertised all around Qatar.
Toujouri translates as treasure chest in Arabic. This is the website of the fashion designer Lama El-Moatassem. Travel and culture, vintage textiles, embroideries and brocades and, ways in which modern design can interpret these aesthetics inspire her.
I have done a lot of work with jQuery on this site. The homepage featured models who would slide left and right, with the center one coming forward in a 3D effect. One of the inside pages had a requirement to display the design item, and have a magnifying zooming ability to look at the details of the design.
There was also an interactive map of the world, to showcase where those designs can be acquired.
Silatech is a dynamic social initiative that works to create jobs and expand economic opportunities for young people throughout the Arab world.
I built this website using the Joomla CMS, it was the biggest project I ever had at the time. The client required that the homepage has a carousel that can play videos, and that we display their news and publications also, in addition to a news ticker at the bottom.
There was several inside page designs, including one for the board of trustees and its members. There was an image gallery, a video gallery, and a download section. As well as several forms to contact them.
